America’s top professionals involved in building for, marketing to and serving people aged 50+ will be speaking at the National Active Retirement Community (NARA) 8th Annual Business Summit at the Atlanta Doubletree Guest Suites – Galleria on October 17-20.
Professionals, academics, real estate developers, active adult community builders and representatives, retirement community representatives, marketers, chamber and town representatives, salespeople and other businesspeople interested in capitalizing on the aging boomers, empty nesters and retirees will hear topics ranging from attracting retirees to your community to advice on how to successfully design, build and market 50+ housing.
Other NARA-sponsored events include:
*A “Discovery Weekend” Relocation Expo on Saturday, October 20 at the Doubletree will feature representatives of many gated, resort, golf, active adult and retirement properties. Seminars on lifestyle issues will be held throughout the day. Booth space for the Expo is still available.
Boomers, empty nesters and retirees from the Atlanta region and beyond are expected to attend.
“As America ages, we are faced with enormous challenges and opportunities to serve this burgeoning market segment,” said NARA Director Dan Owens. “Every six seconds, an American turns 50 and professionals need to become more educated and attuned to this marketplace to be successful.
“There are many conferences across the country, including AARC, AAHSA, AARP and other boomer marketing conferences,” said Owens. “NARA conferences provided a full, focused business agenda for a very affordable investment,” he added. “In the past, we have had builders, developers, academicians, sales and marketing professionals, managers, design professionals, among others, from many states.
“The Carolinas have hosted all of our previous NARA Conferences, but we are pleased to move our 2007 event to Georgia, a state that is increasingly becoming popular among retirees,” said Owens. He added that the Atlanta location makes the conference within a closer distance attendees from Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.
Experts from around the United States will be speaking at the Business Summit – entitled “Taking Aim at Boomers and Beyond” – about doing more business and better serving active older adults.
