“Coping with Caregiving” Radio Show

Susan Baida, Co-founder of eCare Diary will discuss the most common challenges of caregiving and solutions to make life easier for caregivers on the national radio show “Coping with Caregiving.”

The radio show features four guests and is heard live from 3-4:00 pm PT (6-7:00 ET), with Baida’s interview at 3:15 pm PT, segment 2. To listen in simply click on the “listen live” at the top of: www.wsRadio.com/CopingWithCaregiving.

Plunged unexpectedly into the caregiver role while impacted by the recession, Baida made something positive out of a negative situation. When her father-in-law’s health declined rapidly during his last years battling Parkinson’s disease, she and her husband, John Mills, were shocked by how difficult it was to navigate the world of long term care. They found it difficult to find compatible home healthcare aides, struggled to keep track of his medical appointments and medications, and couldn’t find the right eldercare products at the local drug store.

Meanwhile on Baida’s side of the family, she witnessed family battles over her grandfather’s care that resulted in his becoming a ward of the state. Her grandfather is 90 years old and suffers from dementia. Members of her family fought bitterly in court for conservatorship.

These extraordinary circumstances inspired Baida and Mills to create eCare Diary, a website dedicated to helping caregivers through the complicated process of long term care. It is the first website to centralize access to free tools, shopping, information and a supportive community for caregivers.

If you miss the live broadcast, by Monday evening December 7 you can listen-on-demand to the online archive anytime. For help with Internet radio see directions at: www.wsRadio.com/how-to-listen.cfm
